Job Finding Platform

Overview

A job finding web application that helps students search for job opportunities, view job details, and apply for positions directly through the platform. Includes filters for location, job type, and more. The platform was designed specifically with students and recent graduates in mind, providing a streamlined experience for discovering entry-level positions, internships, and part-time work opportunities that match their skills and availability.

How It Works

The search and filter system is built on top of Supabase, which provides both the database and real-time query capabilities. When a user enters search terms or applies filters, the frontend sends a query to the Supabase backend, which performs full-text search across job titles, descriptions, and company names. Filters for location, job type (full-time, part-time, internship), and experience level can be combined to narrow results. The results are returned with pagination to keep the interface responsive even with a large number of listings. Each job listing links to a detail page showing the full description, requirements, company information, and an application form. The application submission is handled through Supabase's row-level security, ensuring that user data is protected and only accessible to authorized parties.
